Interactive Voice Response Utility

The IVR Utility supplied by NextGen TCS provides data from NextGen Practice Management to an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) vendor. This data includes but is not limited to NextGen Practice Management Appointment Reminders.

This interface exports a file used by the IVR vendor to make phone calls. Most commonly this is used to remind patients of a pending appointment but can also be used to in a variety of other scenarios where a call to the patient is appropriate. A dynamic filter allows the client to control the inclusion or exclusion of who gets notified and when. This includes being able to control at the Practice or Location level all the way down to the Resource or individual Patient Level the notification settings.

The bidirectional interface (IVRU Import) creates an appointment note displaying the call result and call date/time. It can also confirm appointments within NextGen Practice Management based on the call results. Please note that the IVRU will not cancel nor reschedule appointments.

Clients currently use the IVRU to generate reports for vendors such as PhoneTree, Televox, and Enghouse, and can typically be configured to work with other vendors as well. Please open a support case for more information.
